Per-platform tips

The brief is platform-aware, but here's the cheat sheet for what changes across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

TikTok

Lean into trending sounds — TikTok's algorithm rewards them harder than the others. Captions can be longer and chatty. Hook in the first 1.2 seconds, not 3.

Instagram Reels

Cover frame matters because Reels show up in the grid. Use bold on-screen text in the first frame. Original audio outperforms trending audio for branded accounts.

YouTube Shorts

Shorts viewers expect tighter pacing and a stronger payoff. Don't use TikTok-native sounds — they get muted. Title and first comment are your second hook.
